Week 11 Steelers-Browns Game Thread

He may have mentioned it before. But in case you forgot. He's a soldier.

Leave your Steelers-Browns game comments here. The Steelers, who seem to have lost that road jersey mojo, look for their first road win of the season. Personally, I would like to see if they can exploit a weak Browns run defense and dominate the TOP in a game...control the ball and the clock....and play some old fashioned low-turnover, smashmouth football.

Hopefully the SteelForReal gameday curse with continue with Lieutenant Winslow up top.

I'll be out of town and away from my computer. Hope to see some comments (about a win) upon my return. Until then, I leave you with this:

well, they did none of the above Sonn, Clock Control? nope. Exploiting the weak run defense? nope. low turnovers? nope. couldnt even play sound kick coverage...but still somehow come out on top! yikes...what an odd game, but Ben took his game up a notch when the chips were down, so kudos to him, it was like having the old Ben back in the 2nd half.

to steal a quote:

"Same old sorry ass Browns"

For the first time in my life, that I can remember, I didn't really even get to see the game. I just recapped highlights on NFL.com and read through the Game Book.

From what I can tell, they played like crap for most of the game. Defense played decent, but Ben threw another TD to the opposition.

However, it seems like a rare instance in which Ben was able to pass the ball when he HAD to. Which, I suppose, is a victory going forward.

Sonn, not seeing the game, the 3INT's are very misleading...all 3 were tipped off or recievers, very fluky plays, the Offense was again out of synch however for most of the first half. But Ben was solid for the most part. it's just nice to finally string together a couple of wins.

so, Jim, um, how bout them 'Hawks?

I know Matty and Alexander are the lifeblood of the offense, but 212 yards rushing? what gives on the Seattle D?

The part that pissed me off the most--watching the game via text message updates--was the kickoff return for the touchdown.

Until that point, the comeback looked reasonable...and didn't have to be desperate.

In either case, it was a hell of a 4th qtr for Ben.

Hey, Dunn. How's that 4-6 record working for you?

Last minute comeback wins over the Browns. You got it going on now... Hey, maybe Ben should be checked for color blindness. He seems to throw to the wrong colored uniform all the time.

Sure, they were flukey. Like the other 8,000 INTs he's thrown.

What's up with this chump, Sonny? Somebody kick his puppy or something?

Wow, you team eeks out a couple of wins and all of a sudden out comes the smack talk. Where was all that bravado after you lost to the Raiders.

Should end this week in Baltimore. Remind me to be a bigger man than you and not rub it in.

I did kick his puppy once. But that was completely by accident and has nothing to do with this.

But does this qualify as rubbing it in?

"I know Matty and Alexander are the lifeblood of the offense, but 212 yards rushing? what gives on the Seattle D?"

Aren't you asking the exact same question? When you said, "Ouch, that was a bad loss" after we lost to Raiders, I didn't feel like you were rubbing anything in.

And you obviously missed something if you think 4-6 would subdue the Steeler spirit. We've been average before. We'll be average again.

But, as far as we see it, the scoreboard is always running. And while I'm too nice of a guy to bring it up, the score is Steelers 5, Hawks 0.

And I actually like the Hawks chances to get on the scoreboard soon -- Frank Gore can only play for one team.

I wasn't rubbing it in. I never rub in losses. Have you ever seen me do so? It was a bad loss. The Hawks losing to the Niners was a bad loss. I call it like it is.

But come on, Sonny, what am I a dope? (Well, I am to Dunn-- since he called me that in the other thread. I guess that wasn't smack talk either.)

"so, Jim, um, how bout them 'Hawks?"

That is a clear dig. So is the rest of it. I think even Dunn will admit it.

Let's just be clear about this. If you're going to dig at the Hawks and me when they lose, then it's fair for me to dig into the Steelers and you when they lose.

I can learn to have fun at other people's expense too.

Both comments were pointed, but tame.

But if you want to use it as a reason to dig into the Steelers, go ahead.

jesus, you are a gigantic pussy, I was being cordial and you jump off the deep end. I was legitimatley asking what was up with your team, but once again, you prove that you are a complete douchebag.

Not in any way, shape or form did I have any bravado or talk any smack above, I have stated, if you'll actually read before spouting off like Peter North, that the Steelers are D-O-N-E, done, so what the fuck? did some one kick your puppy? take it easy champ, I won't ask you another question.

The real, question, Valvis...is will there be a TMVC (Tues. Morning Valvis Column) or should I fire something off?

I said I would write the thing until the end of the season. I am a man of my word, and intend to keep my promise, unless you don't want me to, and then I'll politely head for the exit.

If I misjudged your comment, Dunn, I apologize, but I read it immediately after the comments below and it seemed a slam to me.

Maybe I'm a bit touchy lately with people attacking me on the Seahawks board seemingly daily for no reason whatever...

And by the way, I really am a gigantic pussy. You should see the looks I get when I walk down the street...

apology accepted, I don't know how to convey tones and attitudes over the internet, but I thought we turned a corner..I was 100% honestly trying to ask what the problem was with the team...we have discussed the Steelers problems ad nauseum I wanted to hear your take on the Hawks' problems...still do if you wipe the tears away and get back to writing football. (that was a joke, don't go apeshit again!)
